  • Blade 130X!!

    Anyone seen this?

    http://www.horizonhobby.com/products...-x-bnf-BLH3780

I think it's quite ugly but it should fly great with a driven (TT) tail and brushless motor

Yeah I saw the chatter on HF about it. I'm guessing someone at HH is going to be in trouble for letting that one slip on the site

Will it be as capable as the MCPX? Hopefully it will be.

Edit : Just watched the video! Answered my own question lol.

Want!! I was going to buy an MCPX this month, but I might just hold out for this.

The issue is how it crashes. The main advantage of the MCPX is that you mostly just pick it up and fly again. If this isn't close to being that robust it wont sell as well. Looking forward to seeing the price of them though.

Watch the video - it's not much bigger than the MCPX but looks as if it flips better than my X2! It could end the need for mcpx brushless conversions.

Totally agree with this. That's what makes the MPCx so good.

Yeah the MCPX is good because it doesnt break.... I think this wont be quite as durable though.

I reckon the main problem will be the tail. It depends if they pin the main gear. I Think if they do pin the main gear then itll be a new main shaft / blades / gear or something involved with that gubbins with each crash.

If they dont pin the main gear then i reckon itll be pretty durable. Only probem will be the tail i reckon. Looking at the main gear though and where it is I reckon it will be pinned!

I just read through some of the thread on HF and saw this regarding durability:

                              Hi Guys,

I'm glad to see lots of interest in this product! I hope your as excited as we are about it.

A couple things I want to mention.

Durability - This will vary from pilot to pilot as mentioned. Those quick with throttle hold will definitely have a more durable helicopter. That stated we were very pleased with its durability in crashes ( yes there have been lots, LOL)

Performance - A pilot whom is comfortable flying the mCP X will love this one. You can be heavy on the collective stick and the tail will stay where it is. Yes it was designed with performance in mind but it is quite forgivable for someone coming up from an mCP X. It is much more planted in a hover.

                              Thanks,
                              James
