  • another HV question if you may :D

ok, as u figured out, got a rappy g4, man its good, but anyways

    set up

    bls255hv
    256hv
    cgy750

plugged directly into a 2s 36650 optipower rx, now, apart from the fact that i did 6 flights and still had 50% left in the pack, which is a bonus!!!! my question is, what sort of a switch would i use?? because im plugging directly into the rx, and seeming as i got no on,off switch i hav to keep taking off the canopy to turn it on and off, majorly annoying, but do able, but a there a switch i can get that i can buy that will eliminte the need to remove the canopy, but wont add any resistance in the power supply!!! or even a switch that about to take the direct lipo would be great lol

    cheers people

I just used a servo extension lead, and un-plugged it when it wasn't needed.

I had EC3s with 2servo plugs (plugged into the rx) soldered into it to share the load.

Bring a male and female servo lead extension from the battery supply to a point outside the canopy where you can reach them. No switch required.

isnt that going to just as to the resistance??? coz im looking at the best part of 300mm or wire to get from the pack, to out side and back again

That should read 'Virtually never in stock'

That would be overkill though, it is designed to switch main pack voltages up to about 14S.

I've prefer one of the options from the Perfect Regulator's range for this sort of task.

I decided to go with one of these to supply HV to my V Bar, Gryphon VEGA Regulator 10A Linear Voltage Regulator GVR-5010 it gave me 2 power leads and a switch, on the 700 I use a gryphon extreme reg to power my HV cyclics, 5.2 for tail and throttle.....
