Just ordered a Talon quadcopter frame from HK, Got some others bits coming as well KK board motors etc are there any websites to give build advice etc?

Is this your first quad? I'm loving mine. Just got back from putting 4 batteries through my DJI F450 NAZA. WOuld have been five but it started to rain so I called it a day.

If you want to change the firmware on the KK board then download LazyZero's tool which makes it a whole lot easier.

Yeh first quad have been looking for a while but not seriously. A guy I bought some lipo's off last year was selling off an unstarted project for the right money I'm a sucker for a bargain! just needed to make or buy a frame and the esc's and then put it all together when all the bit's land.
I have looked at a couple of sites KK's being one of them it seems you need to be a bit of a computer nerd to programme the board or does it just seem more complicated than it is?
The KK board is the Red board Ver5.5 plus.
What is the normal set-up for the TX? (DX9)

I don't know anything about the KK board since I have the NAZA flight controller on one and a Gaui GU344 on the other.

I use the transmitter in ACRO mode although for the Gaui I've set it up in HELI mode so I can flick the flight mode switch to give 15% minimum throttle. Wrecked the Gaui by inadvertently dropping throttle to zero. See 'Tipette - what not to do at 20-30 feet in the air'.

Here is some setup information for your radio, use aero not heli, you only need ale,elev,throttle, rudder. 50% throw on ale & elev.
