LOL, I'm not opposed to electric actually. Just 2 things I don't like. 1. the charging is a turn off and 2. I just don't trust ESC's, I always get the feeling something could pack up and the blades spool up PDQ taking large chunks of me with em, especially where the 600 is concerned.

If you select the right equipment then electric totally kills nitro for dead on the power front.....but don't expect to get it trying to run 6S in a 600E with an XL motor. The debate is just a case of what you use not whether it can do it or not.

Put it this way, on electric you can easily specify packs and motors to deliver 3.5kw of power......now tell me how you get that out of a hyper 50 without putting rocket fuel in the tank.

However a decent power system will cost you more than the 6S stock system, but then again who uses 10% fuel, stock mufflers, no governor etc etc on nitro.

              Ash,

Can you for instants tic toc your electric model all flight without stopping and suffer no performance degrade like you could do with a nitro beast.

              (Probably talking 6s Setup here)

Personally I switched to 8S as it delivers 2.2kw or so much more easiy and consistently than 6S where the amp loads become battery killer levels quite easily.

                  8S ....yes
6S .... no, amps are too high and the motor will heat up

What motor are you running on your 8S setup?

If you go flybarless you can do it 6S as it drops the power by 20% plus. Trev would practice big bens for a whole flight on his NEU running 6S with a flybar.....but it was pack killing stuff.

I did give thought to a flyberless setup, but I think it still has it's draw backs.

Still happy with with my setup but I have to conserve power thoughout flight to protect my packs.

Would like to give the 8s setups ago but I think it would be a new motor again

Stick with what I got for a bit

yeah, 8S is a new motor as you have to drop the kv to stop overspeeding. Also your Z30 is 6S only I believe, although I know people have tried 8S....it gets a little hot from what I've heard but does cope.
