Blade Sizes?

Just been reading up on the goblin 770 and spotted an article that mentioned how "this heli uses 770mm blades as the name implies"

If thats the case then why does my 500 use 425mm? and a 400 use 375mm or whatever?

I didnt realise the numbers related to blade size...I did always wonder what it was for! And if it is blade sieze then as i say, why do they all seems maller?

for the smaller helis it's the size of an equivalent brushed motor. If you think that sounds absurd, yes, that's right.
There are only two types of 550 helis, for example: Those that use 550 mm blades and those that don't...

Yes.... As long as you fit 10mm tail blades

They would be 3" longer so I would have thought yes.

Some heli manufacturers use true blade size - others use a misleading term "brushed motor size" as Gravity said above.

A classic example is the Trex 500 vs Logo 400. Both run the same size 425mm main blades.
