PL6 parallel Charging

A quick question guys. After charging and noting the amount that has been replaced in the packs, is the figure for one pack?

Charging 2 3300 packs used down to 20% took according to the PL6 2592mA. I am assuming that this is per pack. Am I right

How does it know its paralell charging?

To paralell charge on my LX60b (Admittedly a crap charger) you just set teh MAH to the total of all batteries and it gives you a combined total of what it puts back, not per pack.

It knows because the PL6 is not a crap charger

The charger asks you if you are parallel charging and if so, how many packs.

The PL6 and the PL8 were both designed from the ground up to be used in this way.

I almost bought a PL8 the other day. But then I saved myself 100 quid and bought an iCharger 3010b, 10s support rather than 8s and almost as much current capacity. Hopefully i wont regret it!

Cheers boys, I was a bit confused over the values I was seeing. Being new to this I just wanted to back up my thoughts. Thought backed up and happy parallel charging

Why would you need 10S support though. I went with the PL6 because of its simplicity and the fact it's virtually impossible to wreck a pack because it's so intelligent. Also, on the back of the Cellpro Multi 4 and Cellpro 4S Both superb chargers

Fair point, but don't most of those 10S stick packs ship with 2x 5S balance connectors these days?

So you end up charging them as a parallel pair of 5S packs anyway which the PL6/8 will handle just fine.

If you actually have a 10S pack with a 10S balance connector I can see the point of course.
