Just to follow on a little bit from another thread, I would ask a simple question about women in certain sports.
Why are they no good (in relative terms) at Snooker?
Now I accept that there have been some very successful female players like Alison Fisher, but they have reached anywhere near the household-name status of players like Ronnie O'Sullivan and Steven Hendry. But, what is it about Snooker that demands a man's phisique or psychie?
Playing snooker does not require physical strength or stamina, so there is no reason why women shouldn't be as good as men at it, so why is the sport dominated by men?
There are other sports that could easily follow the same argument, and some that could easily turn the table (synchronised swimming?).
Why isn't there an equal number of female heli pilots to men at the top of our game?
