you got me wondering, Iv'e just had another look and placed another order (was in the name of experimentation dear...just practising) and there is an option to choose swiss post (international air mail) as the carrier, i chose royal mail at a dollar dearer.
will see if it makes any difference to delivery timesHeli's: Align 700X, TSA Infusion 700e Platinum, Align 600e Dominator, Align 600n pro DFC, Align 450 Pro DFC Stretched

its been going on for quite some time as far as i'm aware...quite for how long i couldn't say without it being a guess. to be honest,it does not create a massive delay in getting your order, maybe 2 or 3 days extra. so if you have waited a week or more already then i suppose another day or two is not going to make a massive difference. most times the delay seems to occur within hobbyking itself. once they have shipped your order it seems to arrive within 4 or 5 days normally.
now that chinese new year is over i would guess that you will receive your batterys about a week, week and half after hk have shipped them...i think thats prob about the average i've had to wait for batterys after shipping.
once they get to zurich its normally pretty quick from there and onto your house. mind you,i placed my plane and battery order on the 3rd of this month and no sign of it as yet, just says handed over to airline on my tracking info, which it has done for 3 days now! how long ago did you order your batterys mate?

is that a battery you just ordered? i did the very same thing a few months ago....wasn't a battery order though, and it took even longer than regular air mail! lol
never thought to try it with a battery though.will be interesting to see how its shipped. if they send it swiss post anyway,id be asking for that $ back!!

It may be worth waiting for the UK store to open, but then who kows how long it will be before they have a full range of stock.
their forum is saying by the end of this month for Hobbyking UK to be up and running.
I put in an order for an HK450pro a load of servos and batteries etc.. I paid the extra for the fast postage which was horribly expensive ($30 dollars iirc. and at the same time I ordered some bits from another shop in the uk. I got the shipment from HK before the uk one! it took 4 days to my door but I was lucky that all the things were in stock and I must have ordered at the right time of day to get in the queue.
I have had about 5 big orders to hobbyking and never had a problem. like others have said don't expect the highest quality on the clone stuff and expect a few doa's for electronics (never happened to me but you read about it a lot).
I bet the uk stores are worried about them opening up shop here... I know I would be if I was a hobby shop. Especially for batteries.

I don't think the price advantage will be as big as you think. If you look at the prices from HK Euro warehouses they are a fair bit higher than Hong Kong.Originally posted by Stevec View Post

A shop in UK will have the additional overheads of UK taxes, VAT, plus customs import duty already applied - and unlike us they will get hit every time.Trex 600 ESP (Turnigy T600, DS821, DS620, GP750, 120A) sold
