  • Mikado 600 battery size?

I have 2x optipower 5000mha 6s battery's that I ordered from Fast lad that where for a Trex 600. I now have a Mikado 600. Are these to big? Do I need to return back to Fast lad to exchange for some other size? What Optis do I need?

Too big for the Logo 600. You need 3500mAh 12S (2x6S) tops for the Logo 600. This just balances out with the packs all the way back.

    Cheers,

    Laurence

You are planning to run 12S I take it?

If you're looking to run one single 6S pack the Logo 500 would be a better choice.

        Cheers,

        Laurence

Paul, i think the set up you posted the other day indicates that you will need a 10s set up, the motor is a 4035/500kv which i had in mine at first, didn't really run good on 12s so changed to a 450kv and is now much better.

If your going to be running a 10s setup then you would want the 5s 4300mah optipowers
              Logo600 3D- Vbar, Optipower
              Trex700e V2- Vbar, Optipower
              Furion 6- Vbar, Optipower

The Scorpion 4035/500kv runs fine on 12S I find. This might be depending on ESC, I'm using a Kontronik Jive 80+ HV. You may need to purchase a different pinion I would recommend a 11T pinion for 12S.

The 560KV motor is more for 10S.

Thanks Ross. Which Opti powers do I need?

It depends, what voltage do you want to run at?

If you have the 4035-500kv I would recommend 12S. You would then need 2x 3500mAh 6S Optipowers in series.

Motor is 4035-500kv with Kontronic 80+HV. So 2x3500mAh as you say?

I had the same set up on 12s and found you need a low throttle curve to get the optimized headspeed, having spent the day with Noel Cross he advised that a 450kv motor would be better, after i fitted this i found that the 450kv motor was in fact much better suited to 12s, as Paul is beginner he would'nt want to run a high headspeed so at 75% to give him roughly 1900 on a 10s set up.
This is from Mikado website that also recommends running 10s on a 500kv motor.

It'll work for sure - but at 7 mins of medium style 3D with a 500kv motor I can't see anything wrong with that either .

Mikado for some reason do not recommend 12S full stop.

Plenty of peeps running 12s without any trouble including Mattie Lodge and myself.

I am using OptiPower 6s 4300mAh packs where as Mattie is using 3500mAh packs.

So long as you distribute the weight and get the CoG correct the few grams extra doesnt really matter.

robgt is running TP 5000mAh 5s packs in his Logo 600 with a little lead weight added to the tail to fix the CoG.

I am using the supplied 12t pinion and the stock 4035-500kv Scorpion motor.

Plenty of grunt and 5 minutes flight time leaving over 30% in the packs when finished.

10s 4300mAh Optipowers here with Scorpion 4035-560 motor on 12t pinion and Kontronic 80HV.

If it makes any difference this is what Team Mikado consider to be the optimum set up for flight time vs performance.

I'm getting 5 mins with 20% left in the packs.

Saying that, 12s also performs brilliantly with nothing to choose between them for most pilots.

                              Cheers
                              Pete
