the same hieght as me, not well built and wobbly.
poor richie took a ribbing today for a crash that was essentialy my fault! he spent 45 minutes setting up a heli for me today, then test flew it.
it hovered hands off the sticks and was running nicely. a few hovering piro's then a circuit....all of a sudden ..whoomp down it came from 20 feet with full negative pitch.
"don't touch it till we can see what went"says richie
"it just locked out" ...nope... dx7 thinks me
"rx battery fell out"....nope....i put an elastic band round it thinks me
he carried it back to the pits,and i found the battery and joined him. NOW the my fault bit...it was a900mah nimh which i normaly use for one flight and then change, we had just spent the best part of an hour using it and when tested was knackered(really too small for the job anyway
)
ive just called in hobby hangar on the way home and got all the bits to repair, not including the cost of a proper rx battery and upgrading to carbon blades it was£ 47.99 not a bad let off really.
the moral of this story is dont try and save pennies it will cost you more in the end.
and never, never, ever let richieclarkie near your heli
seriuosly though thanks for the help richie you can be my wing man anyday!!!
