Is it just me???

So i just finish throwing around my Synergy E7 at my local field ,then a bloke comes up to me and starts bragging about his plane then points to a tree and shows its stuck right up at the top about 20 meters high. Mean while I'm trying to take out my packs and replace them and he just can't stop talking about his stupid foamy and keeps repeating that if he were younger he would be up there in a second.

Is it just me or do you guys get some really weird plank flyers come up to you and just can't stop bragging about their planes! This is the third occasion now were they just talk and talk and talk about their planes!

And that Adam is why I have never flown in public places lol.... We have a great mix of heli's, planes and other models at our club and we all talk a load of chite anyway .. but its always about the hobby and enjoying it .. Some older plane fliers seem to think that a £100 plane is alot of money though lol... Would hate for them to try helis lmao ....

Hehe.. nice one. I think he was trying to ask you to climb the tree and get his plane back.

haha yes i think he was implying that i go up that tree and get it. No way i would do it though as I'm scared of heights. He was also saying if someone gave me £20 years ago i would be up their in a second.

& whilst you were climbing Adam no doubt he'd have had it on his toes with a nice E7 under his arm. I'm just glad we only have to worry about the odd pikey turning up now & again at our club.

i have to agree some plank flyers are just plane crazy (come on someone had to say it in the end, and as usual it was me)

Having been a Plank flyer for over 30 years and a newbie with Helis. I have a saying about RC Model Clubs -

'The (Name of CLub) standing around talking about Aeroplane/Helis Club'.
