Telling us your budget may help. There is a few good deals on 2nd hand aligns just now so you might be able to snatch yourself a bargain

The options, as far as I see it, are HK, Tarot, CopterX, Skya, Flasher or 2nd hand Align.
        any others?

I agree if whilst ordering your heli i assume from HobbyKing you may want to consider batteries & charger at same time as they would also be cheaper & saving you on post.
Today's outlook is fine for flying.

I have the silver frame Align Trex 500 and it cost me about £400.00 by the time I got it all fitted with electrics and a couple Lipos. Since then I have seen better deals on 2nd hand Aligns as BNF or close. With mine I also wanted to keep to a budget because I was unsure how I would like it (I loved it imediately). So I started mine buying just a bare airframe 2nd hand and then slowly outfitting it with electrics as I acquired them.

To be honest I only want to spend a few hundred as I'm in the middle of building a quadcopter and with being a newbie to this I've been trying to build my fleet, I've heard bigger is better, I wish I could spend a bit more but the wife might divorce me with what I've spent already. So I really need to keep cost down.
