Getting FED UP with Phoenix now !!

Just updated to 4.0f, and everytime I try to change the map, the game freezes and shuts down, so I'm stuck to this one crappy map that I can't change ..

Is there anyway of going back to 3.0 ?

I've got the most mediocre of PC's and can't run the 3D scapes but the normal sites are fine. To go back to V3 just use your original disk and one of the updates. At the end of the day it is advertised as beta and you only update if you want to test it and report issues. Sort of the point of Beta software.

Can you not just uninstall it and reinstall from the disc?

As Davey says Sam its Beta,which means only download it if your willing to test it! Why not send phoenix an email and describe your problem?who knows you may have found a bug?Complaining here helps no'one!

there has been a few updates on v4 go to the pheonix website and take the latest updates first (its now v4.f) as the new updates have stopped my pc having the same issues your having now and iv got a gaming pc with a lot of graphic power its the beta v4.0 thats giving you the dodgy graphics i think, let us know how you get on

I got I crappy pc my It run fine, not 3d fields, but few "update" they give me probs but the last one is faultless

Im still running 3.0s and my pc is a little bit old and slow so Im not keen on updating my simulator soon.

My pc is also very high spec, and it could run all th updates at the highest graphics setting, I then updated to 4.0f and when I try to change the map, the game freezes and shuts down.

No problems with the graphics though.

My laptop is running fine with V4f
It runs no different for me and beta updates all the time can only be a good thing, Report your issue to the Phoenix guys and they'll more than likely sort it

When the thread about the beta first came out someone mentioned that they copied the program folder before installing the beta, an idea that I copied, maybe that is why I havent had a problem yet.

Its a bit long winded to uninstall then reinstall, update to 3.0s, copy it and install the beta, add a shortcut to the copied 3.0s exe, but it will give you the best of both if you have the time to spare
