Trex 500 Lipos ??

I know the Trex 500 uses a 6s 22.2v 3000mah lipo, but my charger only charges 1s-4s lipos.

Can the Trex 500 use two 3s lipos, if so, which ones ??

It can Sam I think anyone who has done this has used 2x2200 wired together to get the 6s required

Sorry I should have said 2x2200 3s so you would be charging 2 3s lipos separately with your current setup

My 500 runs for 5min 30 sec on 5s 3000 cost me around £100 for 3 delivered i think from HK

i agree with the better charger....even the budget IMAX B6 (about £25 posted) can charge 6S ?. also remember that 2 x 2200 mAh batteries is still 2200 mAh when connected in series to make 6S and can put a strain on them leading to reduced battery life. better investing in 6S, i use the cheapies for Hobby king and no problems so far

I just got the cellpro8 but it's a bloody fortune! Can charge 2x6s in parallel puts out 1344 watts!! Charges in under 60 mins. It's very expensive mind. Have to keep the receipt hidden from the wife.
