MA Spectra G vers Century Predator

Hi Dudes

As in the title

I am looking to buy a Gasser and as these 2 seem the ones to go for I was just wondering if anyone had any opinions on either of them.

Get the whiplash if your after new or find a 700 and convert it.

Definatly hang on for the new min air whiplash gas. It addresses a lot of the old gasser issues like clutch bite and cooling. And don't forget toxic al is working on the new 29cc zenoah for it.

I had a predator gasser once, Great machine for sport flying with the odd chaos thrown in, Was all going well until i needed parts! Couldn't get them over here for love nor money

i was looking for something a bit agile, and i know they are different from the nitro models.

Had a spectra, brilliant performance with the right setup and gear, parts are expensive and also its a very vibey model,
Never actually seen the predator though so cant say but like marting says above, trex 700 gasser dont know if you saw me flying one at charmouth, go's well considering its 4lb's heavier and has less power, even better FBL

I have a Predator SE gasser with 26cc Zenoah. I have had it about 3 years and never had any problems with it till late last year when something went wonky allowing the main shaft to jam itself down into the frames whilst inverted. So that's another winter project. In general it's a big beast of a machine and always gave me a bit of a buzz flying it as it has a certain presence in the air.

That sounds like a stock zenoah can. Decent performance but your Heli sounds like a low flying chain saw. The after market cans are much nicer.

The new Zimmerman is really nice, although a bugger to keep clean lol
