Which motor were you running before? Is this the 3500 or 1700kv? What is your assessment on its performance? Did it give better flight times? Thank you.

This was the 3400kv version running 15t pinion. Previous motor was 450M 3500kv running 14t pinion. Flight time about 3:30 - 4 mins doing similar stuff to me.

Yeah using the 35Amp one but also have a Castle Ice50 here if I can be bothered to use it. Not sure it needs it to be honest. I was going to buy the Scorpion 2221-6 again but at 68 pounds it was too much. I am not going to bother with the Scorpion now as this 450 is nuts!!

Specs are:
Align 450 Pro
450MX motor with 15t pinion
Align 35A ESC
Savox SH0257MG cyclics
Align DS520 tail
Spartan Quark gyro

I changed the 500m to the 500mx on my trex 500 and thats an insane motor so im guessing the 450mx is simular upgrade in performance. Having said that its ages since i flew the 450 now

Seems to me Lynx can get insane performance from any motor from careful collective management.... but hell, I'm getting me a 450mx anyhoooo!!!

paul try ur turnigy 2218h with align helical main gear and 12 tooth helical pinion and 40c packs its a nice combo if u want INSANE ! then use the turnigy 2215h with same gears and battery 2218h gives 3400 rpm 2215 gives 3800 !

Interesting..... might give that a whirl... I have some nano 50C packs on the way to start replacing my aging stock. I'm sure when I first used the 2218H it was fairly ballistic, and the current motor is not that old, so I'll try the nanos first, see how that goes then take it from there, cheers!

I put a 450mx 3400kv 15t pinion and ice 50 on my 450 the weekend
Its rocks now
Had the old 450L and standard Align ESC

Howdy. I've had the 450MX with a 15T and an Ice50 for a few months and rate it highly. Very nice combo and barely gets warm. Great little motor for the price.

I had mine through the post today, went to fit it and the bullet connectors on the motor are too big look forward to trying it soon.
