Always wanted to fly something, started of wanting to fly fixed wing when i was about 10, thought about getting in to it a couple of years back, chatted to some people, and got a heli instead, more versitial than a plane, and more challenging. Just wish they were cheaper..
-I don't crash, I just land with enthusiasm.

A couple of 600n's with stuff on them that makes them fly..
A 550 fbl with even more stuff on it to make it fly
And a Mars 470 which needs stuff putting on it to make it fly

    And a DX8 too

I started flying planks 3 years ago,( i did aquire a gorham cobra 15 yrs ago but as a 12 yr old i had no chance of getting it and keeping it in the air,) then a work move made me join a new club in madley, one chap there flew a raptor and after watching him fly i was hooked 3 weeks later and an ebay fight i owened a rappy 50 and since then sold all bar one plank and have 4 helis!

i love them, i worl with real ones, during the week and fly models at the weekends,
        bliss!!

I started off as a kid building the Kiel Kraft stick & tissue planes then when I started a new job in 1985 the guy I was working for was well into RC planes which lead to me buying my first plane & radio gear (Futaba Challenger 5 channel, cost £135 then). I flew fixed wing only for 5 years then fancied helis and I was finding planes a bit limited. First heli was an MFA Sport 500 fixed pitch with no gyro, I spent much more time repairing it than ever flying it. This lead to a Kalt Cyclone then a Morley MXA, Schluter Junior 50, Kyosho Concept 30, Shuttle ZXX then a layoff for around 3 years with health problems. In the last 3 years I've bought more helis than in the previous 15 years and my flying has improved massively, mainly due to these new fangled heading hold gyro thingies. My passion for gadgets has now lead me on to electric helis and flybarless systems.

I think the real addiction to helis is the constant improvements in technology, both in electrics and mechanics, there always seems to be something new to try whereas with planes it really seems to be been there done that. I still fly planes now but only electric and nearly all are WWII fighters, a passion I have and I can actually enjoy flying them in as scale like a fashion as possible, although it's not a challenge now, just enjoyment

If you haven't played it or tempted too....don't.
                  WoW is like crack.
It is without doubt the most addictive computer game ever devised. It has 16 millions players all paying 8 quid a month and it soaks time up like you wouldn't believe. I wasn't hardcore but used to play around 20 hours a week. Nearly cost me my marriage amongst other things.

However I know lots of people where it did cost them marriages, jobs, friends and in some cases their life... no I'm not kidding do a search...

So for me .... a few mins a day on the boards and a slow build mixed with some shooting I do now is a nice gentle 'come down'
I miss it like mad.....but hoping this will keep my interest for a while.
Don't feel addicted to this at all.
I cant imagine ever wanting to play that game, the whole thing seems to suck big time, that southpark episode sums it up for me...... how do you kill that which has no life

Started Jan of this year after my mum bought my 8yr old daughter an indoor flying saucer thing for Xmas, just went up and down, but made me think that dad needed a new toy!

Had never flown anything before, but I now own a Dragonus II Elite & T-Rex 600N pro.

It is not often you can blame your mother for wasting all your money!!!

Upload it to www.rcheli-vids.com (create an account if you haven' got one) and then link to that video from here.

Or upload to youtube and then you can use the video link (second from the right in the quick reply box - for me anyway) in the editor to paste the video URL in and have the video display in the thread

                                Cheers,
