Went out yesterday with a buddy of mine, he maiden his 550 with beastx and quite happy with it. Now he is thinking of upgrading his fleet to flybarless. Flew four packs on the 500, first three packs seems the tail was happy like a dog only to find out the boom got lose so the tension on the belt is loose as well. Re-adjusted, and flew like as good before.I pinned the boom now to prevent it from loosening again. I will go out today with four packs with the 600 this time, just to get the cobwebs out of this heli.

Out today, froze me nadgers off, fingers so cold they were sore, feet like blocks of ice, eyes streaming enough to steam up me specs, I was relieved when a full size Apache overflew so's I could land and shove me mitts into me pockets to get some life back into them, and this is a hobby ? For fun and leisure ?, I must be daft ! But three packs thru' the 450 was reward enough to make it worthwhile.

      Several planks, gathering dust.

Brains and thumbs work okay, but not at the same time.

Flew two batteries on the 450 and one on the MCPx. Snow started and back was killing me so decided to call it a day.

Hee hee Me too. Five packs through the 500 - it was 2 degrees and quite windy - seven minute flights was just about as long as I could stand still staring into the wind...
Loved every minute though - too cold to panic when I turned nose-in
