The other night on Virgin 1, there was a show called Gadgets and stuff, that had a bit about R/C models on it, including helicopters.
Why is it that every time a model flyer gets in front of a camera they show our hobby up, I wont mention names, those who saw it will know who it was, but as far as model heli flying goes the guy is well known, and he has acted like a three year old on another show about R/C models throwing his hat in the air when winning a model relay race.
Anyway, on this one, while flying a hummingbird with an airwolf body on it, he nearly flys it into the presenters face and himself, both are sat down while he's flying it, so not in the best posture to get out of the way, by the reaction of the presenter it seems that he didnt clue her in that they will injure you if they hit you, and a hit to the face could mean you get blinded, her laugh though gives it away that she wasnt aware of the danger she was in.
So please, if anyone is asked to do something for either local or national tv please dont fly dangerously and make us all look like a bunch of cowboys.
