  • Phoenix Demo runs fine on my Notebook !??

    Okay, so i had a previous thread asking whether Phoenix would run okay (lag free) on my Notebook PC.

    Surprisingly, the demo runs perfectly, only a slight amount of lag on the highest quality setting.

    So, should i get the proper Phoenix sim ??

    Cheers

      If it runs on the highest quality then yes.....

      You can always reduce the quality a touch should it start lagging.

      Phoenix = Success.

          If your buying second hand please check you get the Phoenix USB cable and it works. Ive had a friend who spent £45 on the sim just to find it was a copy on CD with a note saying contact Phoenix for the correct lead. Cost him another £79.99 to buy an original copy.

                Why do people post advise about buying cheap crap (Copies) from hobby king when Phoenix are doing their best to supply us with a top quality sim that is cheap to start with and free upgrades after that.

                What are we gonna do when Phoenix go bust due to encouraging comments like yours.?

                      I found the demo worked great on my Toshiba Equium. Put full blown Phoenix on it and it was just about ok at medium quality. Selected an indoor flight scene and suddenly it was crippled. In the end I got Parallels for my 21" Mac and it runs beautifully at high.

                      The demo was not an accurate judge of speed for me.

                      Best regards.

                      Vikki.

                        thats the best thing to do mate. like already stated this is the best sim on the market and if phoenix ever do go bust due to fraudsters, it is the end user that suffers (you and me)!

                          I agree. I always pay for my software. Having been an avid gamer for many years I've seen too many great software companies go down the pan because their last game got heavily copied they couldn't afford to keep going.

                            You've put me off now vikki, i don't wanna spend £80 on a sim, and then its only just 'doable' on my PC :L

                              If it helps my Toshiba uses an Intel chipset for the graphics and it's not known for being particularly powerful. Hang on a minute and I'll see what my processor is.
