I now use Quick UK base-loaded aerials - much easier, but with wire ones I think it looks best going down the front skid about 1/2 way, back to the rear leg & then to the bottom of the tail fin. Keeps the aerial away from electrics & metal parts and not too close to the ground to catch on anything. I use fuel tubing from the Rx to the rear leg to take the strain off the wire.
Just me, but there will def be better suggestions from the real experts.
Don't miss all that trailing wire with the Quick UK jobbies though

You want to keep it away from the boom surports and boom, as this is a good place for static to build up,Proud member of the Mk Heli Club

Some people use a elastic band and tie a knot on the aerial and put the band over the thin, but i would not recommend this as it will keep ur aerial tight and could after time pull the aerial out of the RXProud member of the Mk Heli Club

Why not use a lacky band that is just the right length to keep the wire just slack. I double the wire back through the band, and slip some fuel tube over the wire to keep the band & wire together.
Or just go for a base-loaded job. £20 and no hassle

Before moving to based loaded aerials I used to use airplane I think they call it snake line, put the aerial down the middle and then used fuel tubing to keep it in place on the U/C, bent it up towards the boom supports and used cable ties to hold it place. I'll try and see if I have a pic somewhere to better explain.Cheers

i have never been a fan of the base loaded aerials you have a solder joint that doesnt have much stress relieve that is probably going to break meaning you dont have much aerial left.
i use the control snake approach that stuart mentions.most helis have loops on the skids thatwill take this then run up up to the boom support. use a bit of fuel tube between the snake and the rx to protect it and our sorted.

I always use the base loaded ariels theres a trio of an R60 scuttle and twister 3d all with base loaded. They just stay som much more out of the way than stray wire and performance is comparable....
