Align 700dfc head

I fitted mine last week..my 710 blades looked so close to the tail blades and boom that I have taken it off..going with the original head for now........

Also the guy that was flying the 700 also did the same monouver with his tdr running the same headspeed and that had a boom strike!

Yes but the point was with the original Align fbl head clearance it would not have.They have clearly taken an age old Bullet proof setup and introduced a possibility of mid air destruction.One reported case is nothing though really but you are obviously in the zone for that potential.

Redesign the arms to be long enough to run with the current fbl main shaft and I would be tempted,the Compass head is brilliant and leaves plenty of clearance.

Am running the new dfc head on my 700n with kdbb lime green dampers,710 radix fbl blades and 1980 hs and had no problems what so ever.

Hope it works well for you..I just cannot be arsed with having too run a high head speed tight blades etc etc..just so I can have a little fly around..and now they have upgraded some parts as well within 2 weeks of releasing the new head..I think the draw is the best place for it...............

"Very important Message for T-rex 700 DFC rotor head.

Regarding Align's recently released 700DFC rotor upgrade assembly, there has been an instance reported customer where a loosely tightened bolt on the pitch link assembly caused high frequency vibration, resulting in material fatigue and bolt breakage from where the thread start. Due to the concern that this breakage can lead to unforeseen safety issue, Align has modified the grip linkage arm design of both 700DFC and 600DFC rotor upgrade assembly. In addition, the bolt has been replaced with one made from CNC'ed high carbon steel material for improved rigidity and strength, effectively avoids bolt breakage issue. Caution: Please do not fly before the 700 DFC new parts have replaced. We deeply apologized for all the inconvenience caused.


For customers who have already purchased the first version of Align 700DFC head upgrade set, please bring the main blade grip arm and the screw to where you purchased or the local distributors to exchange the newly designed screws and grips. Are you running 710's with the stock or 800 boom and 105 or 115 tail blades. Thanks.

No its only a normal boom..just put the thing together have not flown it yet..think the tails are 105s they came with the kit..

If you plan to run 710's you'll most definitely need the 800 boom and 115's, else, the tail will blowout in backwards flight and funnels when the tail is pushed hard.

I believe many report blowouts on 690's on 105's.

I'm running Edge 710's with Edge 115's on the 800 boom. Holds extremely well with the DS650 and tail KDE upgrades.
