Very true Andrew what I found interesting is I don't recall ever seeing a report of any T Rex mid air boom striking at any headspeed before,so there is a message here.

On another note,I do miss my old Raptor

I tached a T-rex 700 with the new head flying with a 1110 and 1300 headspeed. The pilot forgot his y-lead so decided to fly it using a single 6S pack.

No stick banging moves but flips as quick as could be and FF to nose up or tail stand stops whatever you like to call them. Inverted flight with push overs to right side up. The model flew very nicely and steathily quite.

The RR and Freak threads are fascinating about this now.

it may be worth the ones who have fitted the 700 head to check the bolts
the one i know of broke the one bolt in flight (i don't know which bolt as i was only told about it, i didn't see it)
align did say it was a one off
but replacing align cheese is cheaper than the cost of repairing the heli

Out of interest Align has put a revised version of the 700 dfc head on their website, from what I can make of the info on RR it has thicker link arms and stronger bolts that hold them

Now designated with an A after the part no,happy flying

Nice find Chris, I knew it was the right decision waiting a while before buying in to one of these

I noticed on the runryder thread that align usa have said they'll provide upgrade parts to make v1 dfc heads into v2 (just new cnc bolts i guess - not sure if the link arms have changed to accomodate this)

Assuming this is true I hope we all get the same treatment
