  • Club Fees

    Hi guys/gals, it's probably been asked before but as a matter of interest what fees do your local clubs charge for membership and what facilities and amenities do you have a and what are your allowed flying times and what restrictions???

    Just interested in what you get for your money around the country

      Lost our club earlier in the year but the club im flying at now (South cheshire heliaddicts) has a £50 annual fee, a container with heating, electric, tv, water and i think there are plans to install solar panels soon. Theres even a quad with trailer to get all your gear to the strip. Theres no restrictions on flying time and a model shop next door lol.
      It a really good setup.

          Comes to £87 with BMFA insurance included

          We currently have 1 large flightline, with 2 heli patches. We are a mixed club, and the setup works pretty well.

          Facilities include a static caravan soon to have electric and water (feed already laid), toilets and an RC car track now

          The £50 membership fee also includes around 3 BBQs a year.

              SWRCS is £71 inc BMFA.

              You get one massive slab of ex-WW2 runway and several no fly zones. Club is mixed but tends to favour planks from my experience. Flying times are 10am - sunset and the site will be unavailable for about 3 months during the summer this year due to a little welsh thing called the "Eisteddfod"

                £75 including BMFA insurance. We've got a fairly large grass runway and a helicopter training area. Can fly any day, only real down side is we have sheep in the feilds 6 months of the year. We've got over 100 members but it's always the same few faces turning up every week, rarely will we see more than ten people. Not that I'm complaining as we get more flying time each

                  PMHC = £0

                  Nothing to pay for, rent etc etc if we want anything we club together like we just did when we got some big huge tables. There are toilets there but thats it as far as facilities. Field I would say is very big but can't really compare as not been to many other clubs but can fly as far away as can pretty much see as I do, regulary Don't even need to cut the grass no more as a local farmer does it so don't need the liability insurance offered from the bmfa affiliation so I only say you must have your own bmfa insurance and you are golden

                  Can only fly weekends and bank holidays from 9 till dusk

                    CMFA is £52 + BMFA. Their biggest cost is rent and grass cutting. You dont get much is the way of facilities, apart from some nice tables, but there are little in the way of limitaions on flying times.

                    Chris.
