  • Are Fusuno Canopies usually pre-drilled?

Just ordered a new Fusuno canopy and the canopy mounting holes are already there with nuts installed. Unfortunately though the holes are about an inch away from where they need to be. Have had mainly Canomod canopies in the past and have made my own holes. Got another Fusuno canopy but can't remember whether or not it was pre-drilled. Is this usually the case?

    Thanks folks

The two fusono canopys i have had from f/l have been predrilled and the second one had the grommets fitted! suppose its luck of the draw whether they get done at the factory!

Thanks all. Didn't expect it to be pre-drilled as the product description says:

Please note fit the canopy before drilling the holes to ensure perfect alignment

I ordered 1 & 2 for Laurence & all three were not pre drilled. However you could see on the inside where the holes would have been. I think Fusuno are on RR & someone told them the Logo canopy holes were incorrect so all the Logo ones come without holes now which is good as you get to give it the best fit & look possible. I use the Fusuno reamer from Fast-lad

If it says not drilled, send it back and ask for one undrilled

That's the plan... just trying to size up how much of a pita that'll be. I expect all the ones in the shop are pre-drilled. Chances are that a replacement will have holes that are better placed but could have some other imperfection... decisions decisions.

                    my sdx50 one isn't drilled
the canomod ones have the front holes drilled only as it can be fitted to the sdx50 and the sceadu

Fusuno seem to have strange ideas as to whether or not to pre drill holes. I've bought loads of canos off them (albeit unpainted ones), some are pre-drilled, some aren't. When they aren't, there are indentations as to where the holes should go (except for the Logos). I assume that these indentations are in the right place. Not had any complaints yet. I do suggest that the owner puts the holes in themselves if it's a Logo with no indents to make sure they're in the right place. I could do it, but it's very risky ensuring they're in the right place :-(
There is just no uniformity to their production at all, for whatever reason !!

You email them any qestions regarding your canopy & they will happily meet your requirments. They were very good with mine & Laurences canopys when i checked to make sure they were customized. I then sent a detailed request like they asked & jobs a goodun. Very happy with their customer service... probably puts a few uk companies to shame.
