I am of to the USA for two weeks holidays soon.
Does anyone know of any good model shops near Miami or Anna Maria Island Tampa Bay ?
Thought I might go and see if there are any bargins to be had at cheaper prices.
I have had a look on net but there does not seem to be any decent heli shops.

    Get yourself a JR Vibe 50 - $600 over there (about £300).

How about that for your 2nd heli, and they're not even available here yet?

Decent 2.4ghz tranny - servos and 2.4ghz receivers are the winners if your going to buy cheap and bring back.

Order stuff online from the UK the day before you fly out, and have it delivered to your hotel.

Doesn't matter where the shop is in the country then.

Now that's a bloody good idea.

You could always stick a request for shops on Run Ryder as it has a large amount of yank users.

Its also better if you order stuff online when going to the states as you don't get charged retail tax unless the place you're ordering it from is in the same state.

Offically yes.....or you could just go through the nothing to declare and hope you don't get pulled.....worked for me and my mates when we went to the Toledo show.

Readyheli in Cypress Drive, Tequesta, Fl. Provide great on-line service and have a shop at that address.

Ask on 'Helifreak' it's a mainly American user site (with plenty of others chipping in).

I didn't just put it all in my suitcase and straight in the baggage hold and that was last Aug when the no drinks scare had just kicked off the week before i flew back.
