I got an HK-450 just for a laugh a while ago and had no complaints whatsoever. Admittedly it sounds like a lottery though.

What happened to The Three Dee NT? Does he no longer have any bigger heli's?Originally posted by waveydavey View PostGaui's aren't clones but can be expensive. Good though, Russ Deakin flys the X5 and it's a nice bit of kit
My guess would have been a TDR for him
He used to give me lessons a long time ago before I stopped flying and moved away, he's pretty much the reason why I'm into this 3D madness LOL
Haven't seen him on the board.......

As a direct answer to the OP, most clones I've had contact with are to be blunt "Crap", especially the Esprit 450 X with poor quality bolts that have X heads, to wafer thin soft ali booms, brittle canos and dubious running gear. The HK450 and Copter X are a fairly better class of clone, need some degree of fettling, but with a good gyro and rudder servo both fly extremely well for the money. The trouble with clones of anything is that unless there's masses of information to guide you, it's not till you've bought one will you know if it's shite or not HO HUM !Last edited by Cagey; 16-12-2011, 04:19 PM.Trex 450 SEV2.
Trex 450 SEV2, hack, freeby, but getting expensive. Binned the bu**er !
Trex 550 V2. Adrenalin ( brown kind )

mCPX, better than a Phoenix anyday.
Several planks, gathering dust.
Brains and thumbs work okay, but not at the same time.
