I strap my battery underneath the radio tray on my 700Ns, two straps and Velcro, never had an issue

As long as you Velcro the battery as well. Tie wraps will not prevent the battery from sliding under severe direction changes, additionally if you are unfortunate to have a crash and the battery is damaged they are a lot more difficult to remove quickly.

I have always velcro'd and strapped my rx packs in, seen too many times one falling off and creating mayhem!

I've had it happen with two Mikado straps + Velcro so I thought I'd buy the Mikado anti-slip straps and then it happened again at the champs (using two + Velcro), but using three of the anti-slip ones + velcro seems to have done the trick!

                    Mikado/Scorpion anti-slip pads are the same .

But we're talking about a 12S 3500mAh pack vs a little 3S RX pack here lol..

There isn't a better way that I know of anyway.

I'm using this stuff. I bought it from homebase. I have to say it really is much stronger than normal Velcro plus its a wide roll which is pretty handy.

in fact it's so strong I had to reduce the amount I used just so I could get the batteries out!

Yeah thats the stuff I use. the velcro is often stronger than the adhesive
