I have always been interested in anything RC, had loads of cars when i was younger but i used to stand for hours in my LHS looking at the heli kits on the wall. My uncle bought a Raptor 30v2 in 2004 & i went to the club with him, watching one of the guys up there practising to compete in that years 3DM made it an obsession for me but I coulnd't afford it at the time. Then in 2007 he joined a new club (my current one) & i went with him and lo and behold the same guy I had seen in 2004 was flying at Waterfoot & he was 10x better than he had been the first time I seen him fly. I went out the following day and bought my own raptor & have since upgraded to my current heli's although I am also in the process of joining the dark side with a Plane . . . .

About 5 years ago a close friend of mine bought a Honeybee CP2, he hovered it twice in the living room, crashed it twice, once into the TV and the other time into the fireplace. After repairing it it sat in his cupboard until June this year when he asked me if I wanted it for free.

I jumped at the chance and ordered a new replacement battery, when that came I took it into the garden and proceeded to demolish it in a tree. After a 10 second flight I was hooked

The heli is still in pieces but I decided to get Phoenix sim in August this year and have just been simming it ever since lol

Picked up a second hand job lot of a 450 and a Raptor 30 but neither of them are ready to fly but maybe one day I'll manage to get something sorted.

My old man had been into planks for a few years, he then bought a raptor 50 i saw it fly once, he gave me a go on a simulator, then I got a centruy neon blaze at xmas 2008, hooked badly ever since .

Thought of giving it up loads of times, too expensive, no spare time because of family stuff, frustrating at times, but god do I love flying, just cant give up.

You cant beat whizzing about the air in the heat of summers day with the sun on your back and your butt cheeks clenched so hard you could cracks nuts between them

Me about seven years ago it all started when mate of mine came back from Australia with a boomerang & we could't get the f cker to come back so i went out & got a zoom 400 & that f cker nether wanted to come back so then got the very first Align 450 & that started coming back alright......in bits then was told that's what Align do! so persistence paid off.
Today's outlook is fine for flying.
