I know horizon gets a lot of bad press sometimes for several opinions/reasons. However I phoned horizon to see if I could buy a trim switch directly from them for my dx6i yesterday. Got one free of charge through my letterbox this morning. Now I know the trim switch shouldn't have failed, but there quick response does do pretty well IMO.

My direct contact with Horizon Hobbies made me buy Futaba, but it does seem like I am one of a rare few to feel this way.

            What are you talking about?

The initial issues with the DX8 were down to Spektrum. Horizon bent over backwards at great expense to themselves trying to keep spektrum customers happy, even now if you youve got a problem with a DX8 they'll send a courier to collect it and in most cases have it back to you in 48 hours.

The only thing you'll ever read on here is praise for Horizon, they'll even repair and replace parts on equipment where the warranty has expired and youre not even the original purchaser. Everything Ive ever sent them has always been FOC (even postage) and been back with me within a couple of days.

Jeez if you think thats bad then dont ever buy anything from Outrage RC!!!

Well they made me pay postage when I sent my DX8 back because the gimbles failed. So not everyone got free postage. They did send me a brand new dx8 to replace mine though.

I completely agree that Horizon's customer service is second to none but aren't they the owners of the Spektrum brand? (at least I think the US Horizon is the owner of Spektrum -not sure how the UK Horizon fits into that)

                  I repeat.

If you think this constitutes bad service then try Outrage RC!

I have had a few dealings with Horizon some good and lately pretty bad.

I sent my MCPX back after spending about £60 trying to get the thing to fly right with a letter stating that i was fed up trying to get this little heli to fly as it should.

They then charged me £34.00 plus £8.00 postage and sent my heli back.It had a missing top bearing in the main frame and was packed badly that the boom was broke in transit.
I called them and they told me not to send a heli to them for repair as they were not a service centre and that they did not have a spare boom or bearing and there was no way it could be missing because they test fly all heli before sending them back.So how did the bearing go missing ???

David copperfield would have been proud.

I once believed in horizon but after they i no longer have faith at all.

I dont think you can count anything to do with the MCPX, if youre insane enough to buy one after my constant warnings then you get everything you deserve!!!
