replacement mcpX 3 in 1 board

Morning all

fried my 3 in 1 board on the mcpx last night and need a replacement


anyone know where I can get 1 at a good price??

Did you damage it in normal use or were you trying to alter it.
If it's normal use then send it back to Horizon, changed mine free of charge as well as put in 2 new servos, new main shaft and new undercarriage, all free.
Brilliant service.

Not normal use unfortunately...

working on my scale project and needed to extend the tail wiring
whilst I was testing the tail motor, i shorted the 2 wires and fried the board, expensive mistake!!

That's a shame.
There was someone on here repairing them. The thread also had repair details and parts for sale if you wanted a go yourself.

That should just have damaged the tail rotor mosfet which can be changed.. does the board work at all or completely dead? my Tail rotor mosfet went but the rest worked. i sent it to Horizon Wednesday and they have sent it back today with the mosfet replaced! Worth sending to them, even if there is a charge it should be cheaper than a replacement...

Everthing works fine, main motor spins and servos move just no power to the tail

The board is 100% virginal and hasnt been touched, the damage occured when the wires shorted and a puff of smoke came from the block on the board highlighted in the photo

Definitely send it back, they should fix it and just replace the mosfet. Call them first but really worth looking into.. I'm sure any charge would be minimal in any case.
