Just found the PL8 V2 charger for £153. Is this for real?

It was on here about a week ago.

It is based in China, so the usual caveats apply, ie import duty, returns etc..

Ah, got it. It was the UK domain the threw me. Now I see it says "seller country = China". Explains the dodgy grammar.

I saw it aswell but I was pondering the duty fee and they are based in HK I emailed them they said in 14 days should be in UK I believe if you pay with paypal we should be fine

Likely charges would be around 20% of 153 plus the usual "handling fee" (aka ripoff fee) from parcel force. Total charges likely to be just under £40. Given that you can buy charger from uk for £199 it hardly seems worth it.

And for the likely size / weight of the package, I doubt customs would buy that it is a £10 "gift".

Think I will buy through heliguy who seems to be the cheapest right now.

Remember you will not have any kind of UK warranty/backup if bought from there

I have purchased from them before,unlikely to get stung if you know what I mean and as always used credit card to pay for the various buyer protections that gives inc warranty.

But as said its actually not that big a saving over the uk price certainly not as cheap as I have seen them from a couple of the HKG stores in the past.
