it was a bit stiffer when fitted but nowhere near good enough for me...off it came .
I dont know if all scale bodies are the same but i would stay away from thunder tiger if you want a scale..
the reason for the thin flinsy plastic is due to it being very light and that is whats needed for a 450 size electric heli
if you add a fibre glass body shell the poor thing wouldn't fly for long on a battery and it wouldn't fly that well as the disc loading will be too high and the motor will be on its limit to get it to fly

the larger scale helis use fibre glass body shells as the bigger motors/engines/mechanic are capable of flying well with the extra weight
don't be put off with scale heli's due to the 450 class bodies
go to one of the scale fun flies next year and have a look at a few models and how well the bodies are made

Unfortunately the info/description does not say what brand they are. But it does say they have an OS-46 in one and an OS50 in the other.

From the pictures and these engine sizes I would expect they are the Century 50 size kits which are both very good kits to start scale with.

As for the radio gear, here again there is little info on offer. But that said, 250 Euro for both seems like a good price.

they are both the century ones
and note the bell 47 has a broken canopy/bubble which i would ask century uk or midland helicopters if you can get them
and how long it would take

Is it possible to make your own scale bodies ? is this something people do ?
i like the thought of maybe making a heli shaped form that you could lay fiberglass matting over to create your own body,

yes it is possible to scratch build a heli scale body
the master of scale len mount hand makes his own
many of our american cousons scratch build their body shells
                it just takes time
if you do make your own don't make the body shell to thick or you will suffer with weight issues

Thanks electricsceadu, is COG an issue as i noticed with the mini titan scale that you had to extend the front of the heli, i considered this was to balance it out..
i found len mount's site , these models are amazing !
                  cheers Rob

on some scale heli's cog is an issue
the only cure is to add weight to the front or back of the heli (in most cases the front)
when ever i need to add weight i make it of use to the heli with an extra rx battery, a set of light with the controler up front etc
i avoid adding lead to the front as its wasted weight you have to carry/lift

new body parts are special order only from usa u will be waiting minium 2 months via century uk ,midlands can not get these parts.

all so note as im currently building the same R22 parts are hard to get body parts more so took me 6 months to just get main cabin of my R22 while i waited for century to make one. for these two models from my own dealings with centuryuk and century USA 250 way too much as thay be sat for months awaiting parts if it was cheaper i get them just for parts ! .but all this said if they complete and flyable could be good deal

i know midlands sold century models, but at least we now know you need to go to century uk direct for the scale body spares

on the bell 47 if bought it may be worth trying leamington hobby centre for the bubble off their raptor/shuttle bell 47 conversion kit, but be quck as the moulds are at present nt available as the late Jim Morley had the moulds and getting the body parts made
