  • Lets talk governor's!!!!

So what governor do u use and y, and y do u think its the best compare to the ones u may have tried before.
I have always use the align gov and it works ok for me but sometimes it seems to be hunting so i would have to rest the unit and its good to go again but for the price i cant really fault it.
Also would u rather to run it as a gov or a limiter thats if ur unit gives u the opp and witch is better to run(gov or limiter)

The VBar one is quality, was a bit of a hassle to setup in the first place.

The CSM used to be fine though, other than the occassional faulty sensor.

Personally I have only used the Align Governor previously, both stand alone and via the 3GX unit and they do the job fine. I have recently switched to the Aeropire MultiGov Pro and the difference is amazing. The head holds no matter how hard or you push it (intentionally or otherwise). It is also very easy to set up with the additonal LCD unit and you can manually set your target headspeeds for normal, idle1 & idle2 via this unit. So no need for calculators, messing with percenatages via the radio etc. Set the desired headspeed and it is smack on!

You can run this as a Rev Limiter also, but I have not yet tried it, apparently you do not need it, and so far I can only agree, the governor works flawlessly.

One of my Team flies the Model Avionics Throttle Max and again this holds perfectly with no hunting or overspeeding.

        Highly recommend them both.

        Cheers

Before swapping over to the Vbar governor I used the Aeropire MultiGov Pro on all my nitros. It holds the headspeed so well and is very easy to set up, also has the added bonus of throttle mixture adjust built in if you fancy giving that a go. I've got a couple spare now that I will have for sale shortly.

Had the align and couldn't get to hold that well in big air. Throttle jocky was good but had a habit of switching off.
Csm is great holds well with my ham fisted collective. Set head speed and fly

i used to use the spektrum ar7100r rev limiter which works very well but no i use either v-bar sk-720 or 3gx gov's all depends on which model i fit the fbl units to and of course for electric the kontronic is the only way
