Horizon Hobby - yet another BIG tick

I managed to short out my Spektrum Telemetry TM1000 unit (don't ask - dumb stupid mistake), so I sent it to HH on Monday this week telling them what I had done and asking if it was repairable.

This is the response that I got back today:

Remarks:
"Module has shorted out and is beyond repair"

Resolution:
"Replaced on this occasion as we had a new module spare" (yes they replaced it for free)

Superb service especially as this was completely my fault

Oh and btw - just in case you were wondering - my DX8 is still fine....... very happy with it.

Not that I'm asking but maybe you ended up doing the same thing as I did when reinstalling the telemetry unit in a hurry, I plugged the power cable from the battery into completely the wrong socket. Did the same, I've been an idiot note to HH and got exactly the same result. Very pleased with their service and now a lot more careful if I detach my telemetry unit when I refit it.

PS if the 'idiot' comment doesn't apply to you, apologies, no offence meant.
