Finally managing to get some inverted hovers down have done them before but way up, lately with my 450 pro been going lower and lower, and today was about half a meter of the deck. Going to try and push it into inverted fff next I think.
Well done mate thats a major step in the right direction, down low is cool you are now on your way to becomming a heli God.
Be carefull with ff thing as it can soon get out of hand, also have some sim practice under your belt. I would try different orientations first nose it, tail in, left right etc..
Cheers

Sounds good. I've just found out that idleup crashes are worse than normal mode. Takes a bit longer to switch the motor off. I've done lots on the sim but hadnt practised hitting throttle hold. The carbon fibre frame from Phoenixtech survived, unlike one of the carbon blades. One of the metal links broke, but not the Karbonite gears. It had been raining though.

Yeah while I found things like loops, rolls and flips pretty easy within first few months of flying inverted hovering all ways got me. My mcpx has really helped me move on with that. Yeah can definately believe moving to inverted fff can get out if hand! Will try the hovers in all orientations like you suggest, as that will help me bail out if it's goes Pete tong!

Yeah I think if flown about five times in normal mode. Hated it lol. I naturally fly with my finger over throttle hold, sorry to hear bout the crash, fix her up and get back on it
