The V2 has the swash lock built in to the head i think ? i would go for that as it seems to be the latest way to go

Ive got the 450 pro v2 head on my 450pro its a much betta design with the swash outbase built into the head, this means each time you take the head off and put it back on you always get a true phasing on the swashplate and its really quick!!!

If you get the 450 pro v2 head use the swashplate to head mixer pushrods on the normal fb head as these are the right length to get the correct pitch on the head, the normal 3g pushrods are too long!!! the aim is to get the mixer arms level with zero pitch! Hope this helps.

        Heya sorry about the delay,
if you are going to use the 450pro v2 fbl head you will need the following,
Trex 450pro fbl v2 head block,
        Trex 450pro fbl blade grips,
        Trex 450pro feathering shaft,
        Trex 450pro thrust bearings,
Trex 450pro fbl mixing arms (the ones tht dont come with a washout base, just the arms)
Trex 450pro fbl pitchguage block (it bolts to the headblock and you put the flybar through it)
Trex 450pro head stopper (if you want it i dont use it)
        The setup.
        To do the mechanical setup,
        1. First build the head up (make sure to greas the bearings and use threadlock)
        2. Trun your tx on and center all the trims and subtrim, travel adj at 100% each way on all, pitch curves set to 0-100% straight line, turn all mixing off, put swash type on one servo mechanical,
3.Move the balls on the servo horns one hole inner, so you get slightly less travel.
        4. With the head bolted on dont put any pushrods from the swashplate to the blade grips yet.
5.Turn your tx and model on with your fbl unit all wired up, set the tx at exactly 50%
        6. Center all youservos but dont use subtrim (if using beastx you do this in a setting, im not sure on the align 3g)
7.With all the servos center the swashplate should be level, now check to see if the swashplate mixing arms are level at 50% pitch, if not adjust all the servo to swashplate pushrods untill the mixing arms become level with 50% pitch.
        8. With the above steps done, at 50% pich (midstick) we should have all servos set to neutral and the swashplate level with the mixing arms level, If this is all done move to the next step if not redo stpe 6. and 7.
        9. Now get you old 450sport fylbar head and take of the 2 pushrods tht run from the swashplate to the mixing arms (the two longest pushrods on the head)
10.Make sure these are bothe exactly the same length first, then clpi them onto your new fbl head (onto the swashplate to bladegrips)
        11. Remember to keep the pitch at 50% (midstick) Now with the two long head links on and the servos, swashplate and mixing arms level, we need to get the blade grips level, Firstly we need to fit a set of blades, i would recommend using fbl blades such as align3g blades, or if you want peformance get some spinblades fbl, With blades fitted put the pitch guage block on the head and slide a flybar through (this is to use to sight the pitch guage to) put a pitch guage on one blade and keep adjusting the the two main pushrods until you get zero pitch on the pitch guage (remember to adjust both pushrods the same amount).
This is the basic mechanical setup and im sure you can figure the rest out if ya read the manual, hope this helps!

I have the blue FBL head and I am not a fan of it, I'd go with the black one if I had a choice.

What's the price of all the parts to build the head up inc delivery? I'd like to go FBL on my 500. I know the parts are different but it would give me a ball park figure...?

                            Cheers,
