  • Fbl trex 500 bit under the head block questiom :)

    Hi,

I had to replace the main gear today of my fbl trex 500. Where does the bit under the head block go (the piece with the two 3 mm screws)? Does it go right up against the head or sit somewhere in the middle?

    Thanks

    Stanley,

I take it you no longer have the manual. Have a look here:

    Align

Sorry I can't help but I have the 500EFL head which is not the same.

If you use the flybarless main shaft I think people have it right up to the head block. I use the normal main shaft and have it 4mm approx from the bottom of the head block.

      Hope that helps

You need to adjust the length of the links to compensate also. I think its preference.

Thanks - I am using a fbl main shaft and have left a bit of a gap (about 4mm). How do you know if you need to adjust the link lengths?
