bls 251 just failed, suspect 3gx

hi all doing some bench work on one of my heli's and the tail servo has just stopped, tried everything but it does seem to have failed, i have tried an align servo in its place and that works so the 3gx is sending out a tail signal,
upon entering rudder gyro setup it does not seem to hold the 760 narrow band frame rate selected,
it is just when i first set this parameter the status light goes red, fine but when you go back into setup it is flashing green for a 1520 band servo,
both my 3gx units do this ( ive just looked at the other one) but the other is using a 1520 servo so no problems there.

can anyone confirm if the status light should remain the colour from previous setting, or does it revert back to green each time,

is it possible to repair the 251 or is it for the bin,

i think youve gotta push the stick three time in setup to set the pulse rate properly,if you want it 760 narrow band,push the stick that way three times,it should stay at this setting after exiting setup

yea you have to push the rudder stick 3 times to get it to hold

Sadly it doesn't m8, I think the previous owner may have been running it at the wrong frame rate ( second hand heli and servo )
Ahh well time for hv tail servo then

I don't think that is actually possible with the BLS251, if it was working for the previous owner at all, it was at the right frame-rate.

Wrong frame-rate = no response.

Sounds like it was working for you originally as well since you mentioned it stopped working in your first post.

I did work for all of 5 while I was setting the tail up and then it just stopped, I'm not pointing blame just a possibly thought as to a fail
