  • Beastx trex 500 tail problem

    Hi,

I am trying to get the tail to work properly with a beastx. When I move the rudder, the tail servo hardly moves at all - even if I move it all the way. The beastx is in hh mode. While setting it up, I noticed it worked fine when it was in 120 degree swashplate, but now it won't work. I tried hovering it for the first time and it would just spin uncontrollably. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this - I'm probably missing something in the tx settings.

    Thanks

    Stanley

Not a clue lol - ross (gashead) set it up ( I think). It seems to work ok now but needs a lot of trim .

something wrong if you are using trim fella. Plenty of setup videos on the net/you tube etc, worth having a look at them and figuring out what might be wrong.

Oddly enough it could be an issue with not enough gain... The gain might be being set on the wrong channel etc...

Don't ask me why that means the tail servo hardly moves but I've seen it a few times on the Helifreak forums now.

Stanley, my advice to you would be to go through the whole setup of the beast x from the beginning so you understand how it works and get the setup how you want it.
go through these one by one, this is what i did even though the t-rex I bought was set up fine you shouldn't presume anything with this heli.
please take the time to do this. see link below

i agree with twisted3d, setting it up yourself will give you a better understanding of how everything works, run throught it again, there is a link to some video setups on youtube in the beastx setup sticky thread, check directions of everything, gyro sensing and rudder direction, once sorted you wont be dissapointed

I was running the beastx on tx settings, so unless you've set them up the same, things wont be right.
                    What radio you using btw?
