I managed to replace an extremely destructive addiction with this hobby I think we all probably have adductive personality's in this hobby. I have been in the music industry since i was 17 so have been exposed to and indulged in some pretty negative and destructive behaviour. Im 28 now and have in the past year i have managed to kick all the negative stuff and replaced it all with my heli addiction I love this hobby

Personally, I don't really have any emotional nor physical attachment to flying rc helicopters (so it's not a drug), if I had to quit for some valid reasons, I'd not hesitate. I do like spending time outdoors with interesting people though, it's the best thing about this hobby for me.

I do have a bit of withdrawal symptoms from time to time, so maybe there is something I am yet to realize..

I would say so. It's like the crack of the hobby world lol. I get a right old mood on if I don't fly for more than a week.

So we all agree that is an addiction. But I'm trying to understand the reasons why this hobby is like this. I spoke with guys in rc car, rc plane and etc but is not like helis.
