How do i setup the pitch and throttle curvs on my FF9 Tx?
I need to set it up for two different helis...
    One Raptor 50SE
    One Caliber 400

Could you tell me how to set the pitch and throttle curvs step by step?

Also, can someone tell me how to setup the idle ups?

I'm not new to flying helis, i'm just new on setting up them.

    Thanks
    Jonathan

    Jonathan,

It's in the menu's PITCH CURVES and THROTTLE CURVES. You set each of the 5 points for each of normal, Idle-up 1, 2 and (if required) 3.

    In essence:

    1. In a heli mode, hold down Mode/Page.

    2. Hit it again.

    3. Scroll to THR-CURVE. Press the wheel.

    4. Use up/down arrow to go to the curve type and set to normal, Idl1, Idl2 etc.

    5. Use up down to go to the relevant point, and turn the wheel to select the value you want.

    6. When you're happy, simply hit END.

Same process for setting Pitch curves too.

It's probably easier to look in the manual for how to do it properly - or if you don't have a manual, www.futabarc.com and fnd the manual download there as a .pdf

    Cheers - Rob

there isnt any experienced heli fliers in our club.

Could anyone give me their value for each point on a raptor 50? or would it be different on different helis?

Sadly, too many variabilities, from length/direction/hole on servo for linkages to throttle, swashplate etc.

Each heli has to be set up separately.

Try a decent heli shop that may (or may not!) be local to you. Most offer a set-up service but insist on seeing it fly after being set up.

Thing is, it's not actually that difficult. There are a few resources on the web, in fact - one I remember reading where the guy did a Raptor 30 setup, that included both the mechanical and electrical setup on two web pages. Sadly, I don't have the URL to hand.

The only other choice then is to get a model shop like skyline, midlands etc to set em up.

Nearest Shop is TJD Models or Avicraft.
Nearest Club is Thamesmead model club (has NO experience in setting up helis)

Also thanks Rob, the link you gave me could actually give me all the help i need.

                    Cheers
