Nicely done, but no where near enough canopy damage for my liking...

Let the blades spool up and then pop it off the ground without any cyclic stick - trust the fbl unit to keep the heli straight and get some space between the heli and the ground fairly quickly!

IT works a bit like the tail, if you dont centralise the rudder in heading hold, then as soon as the heli is light on the skids it spins to the direction the gyro is trying to hold.
With the gyros on the swash the "hold" direction decays over a short time back to centre. so when you move the stick the swash tops strangely slowly, and when the stick is released the swash slowly returns to centre.

Until the heli is light on the skids the swash gyros can't tip the heli, so they are applying a lot of cyclic trying to tip the heli to follow your stick input and getting nowhere - until the head speeds up and then the heli suddenly tips over.

As long as you leave the cyclic at centre stick for a few seconds before you are spool up fully then lift the heli off before moving thecyclic stick then you will be OK. You get used to it. You don't really need to jump it into the air, but that helps you avoid the tipping issue to begin with.

Large vibrations or moving the heli while the gyros are initialising, can upset the gyros centre position and lead to an uncontrolled tip over on first takeoff.

                    Good luck!

this is how i do it. just spool up hit idel up then up she goes..... why the hell that guy let his heli smash to pieses like that is beond me you could see it tilting so why carry on looking at it why not spool down and tri again not just carry on ....

this sounds complicated?! is it really? for flybarless systems?

                          Ooyah !

Perfect example of "Dumb Thumbs" if I ever saw one. I'm good at them too, thinking of going professional.
                          Trex 450 SEV2.
Trex 450 SEV2, hack, freeby, but getting expensive. Binned the bu**er !
                          Trex 550 V2. Adrenalin ( brown kind )
mCPX, better than a Phoenix anyday.
                          Several planks, gathering dust.

Brains and thumbs work okay, but not at the same time.

No muscle it really is not complex,

I Fly with a BeastX and i take of gentle most the time, Some times i even correct un even ground with skids on the ground and i have never had any issue what so ever. my first few flights i was sooo gentle getting it of the ground as was unsure what to expect with FBL but i have had no nasties what so ever. Would be interesting to know what FBL unit that guy was flying.

Sorry this model does have a 'Flybar' - see another video i've found from a different angle ! But still v funny, but you do need to just launch a FBL heli dont twiddle the cyclics..
