question about head dampeners/blade tracking

i've been chasing my blade tracking back and forth and I can't get it much closer than getting a gap either side of the upper or lower blade. I found a lose screw in the mixing arms which I thought was causing it but no joy, so I'm wondering if maybe my o-rings are worn out? Is there a way I can tell if they are knackered, or should I just replace them as a matter of course?

If the latter what's the best place to grab a set of cheapy 450SEV2 dampeners and do they come in different hardnesses? I'm only a "sport" flyer, not into 3D if that helps form a decision.

I'd doubt if dampers will be the cause, are trying to track blades on the top links only cos you can get a finer tracking adjustment on the lower (middle) links

Sorry correction dampers could but you would notice the slop in the head

You could try the feathering spindle if you have had any dinks lately. or try another set of blades I've had a few pairs that just would not track but another set from someone else of identical blades and it tracked fine.

yeah, it's from trying different sets of blades that's put me down this path. I've tried 3 sets of blades and can't get any spot on.

By adjusting the middle link it will adjust half as much as the top one, had same problem & worked for me

yeah have been using the lower link to adjust fine pitch and still can't seem to get it. just stripped and reassembled and going to test it now, but will order some dampeners anyway as they look a little frayed.

Hmm, re-arranged the order of the dampeners on reassembling and tracking is almost spot on
