At the moment am using the align 650 on my 700N with v bar but i was told that the 650 is not that great on the tail when using using the v bar, so am asking what is a good tail servo to use or what are u using on ur tail with v bar?

Who told you that? I'd leave it unless you want a BLS251 or BLS254.

Never used a 650 but BLS254, BLS251, BL9188, BLS990 etc etc are all good servos I use or have
+ 7 x Eddies finest EGS's

i use the Savox SH-1290MG Digital Rudder Servo on my raptor .60 and its very good.(the 650 is very similer specTorque: 4.8V:

Is not the Align 650 a re-badged Savox SH-1290MG ???
I only ask as my old 600 has a SH-1290MG and my new 600 has a 650 and if Savox is better maybe i should swop !!!Paul

I used an align 650 with v-bar and it's ok no probs (t700n)
On my velocity 90 i used the outrage bl9188 which is far better but 3 times the price :/

The really important figures missing from most specs is:
How quickly does the servo start to move.
Latency between receiving a signal change and responding to.
Time to reach full moving speed.
Stop accuracy.
The full power stall current.
Centring accuracy.
Most tail servos appear to have similar specs the reality in use is very different.Comment

I've always used JR 8900G's with my Vbar set ups although I do have one of the new fancy MP-80G ones on my RaveComment

Ive used a DS650 on Vbar'd helis and its always worked well for me......but once you have tried a BLS youll want one on every heli...

Acording to Reiner on v stabi the best tail servo to use is a bls251 and i guess he should know.Troll buster
