    Talking to one of the guys at our club he was saying the secret is to use the second courier option which is a Swiss courier I believe. He was saying it's not the obvious one as it appears to imply longer delivery but in fact gets there just as quickly. The top one I think is linked to parcel force hence why the always tend to nab you on the duty.

    If that all makes no sense apologies as I haven't actually bought from hobby king myself yet so I'm going from recollection rather than actual experience. One other tip was to make sure you kept the weight down as the heavier items are normally thought of as being more valuable and therefore checked.

      I have always used swiss post, takes two weeks to arrive but never had a customs charge as its the regular postie that delivers it, i always put it about $20 and as a gift, never had a peoblem yet :-)

        Got a letter from parcel Force today I have to pay customs charge of 21 quid before there deliver, got a pay otherwise there send the batteries back, better luck next.....maybe!

          Keep declaring the value at £30, and you will be taxed every time. Try declaring it at $18 next time.

          The majority of the £21 that Parcel force are charging is clearance fee for them.
