V bar bank set up

Was just watching bert vid on v bar set up and so on and saw how he did the bank settings so i decoded to try it and yeaaaaa i like it i can have 3 setting in one flight if i choose to at anytime, this is such a good idea because u can have different test setups if u are trying to cure a problem or just to try for the sake of it.


Are u using the bank setting up?

If you're using a DX8, then you can select all four banks.

You can select 3 on the gyro switch, then the the 4th on the mix switch.

Eg, I have banks 1 to 3 on the gyro switch, but can select bank 0 by flicking the mix switch - regardless of the gyro switch position.

The point is that I have a known 'good' configuration on bank 0, and I'm playing with those on the other banks. If I get it all wrong (eg it all starts to oscillate, or such), then I can easily get to bank 0, which I know will be ok.

I may change this to 0 - 2 & 3 on mix.

There are various other ways. Eg selected by flight-mode. This makes more sense if you switch between modes during a flight, rather than doing set-up.
