hi all, does anyone have any advice on orientation practice? How do i get from tic toc's, basic backward and very basic inverted flight. Is it just air time or have you any set moves you practice?
Thanks
Richard
hmmm, you might be a bit more advanced than me but i just practice hovering tail in, then facing left, then nose in, then facing right, then simple laps around the field. I haven't dared try any tricks yet, well not on purpose anyway lol.
I found hovering in all orientations (both upright and inverted) really helped me in all other areas of flight. Also remember your 45 degree angles - I find the 45 angle between 4 & 5 o'clock is my weakest orientation. Then move on to slow hovering piros in both directions. Once you have got these nailed in front of you try them again to your left and right.
I try and always go through these regardless of what other flying im doing. I also find by going through these sequences on my first few flights helps me relax and settle into my flying.

Rich. You need to practice your hovering 'T's the same as I do. Both upright and inverted. Boring, but it HAS to be done. I shall start doing mine in 3 weeks time.
Been there and done that, but never stop learning. Now too many Helis to mention?
