  • BL**dy wind

Arrrrggg I hate this damn weather. Had a lesson with Dave Fisher booked today but had to reschedule as the wind is crazy. Hoping it dies down by Saturday as we've rescheduled for then.

Just had to pack away all the garden furniture to stop it blowing away.

On the plus side I've just managed to fix the play in the mixing arm on my ESP that I couldn't work out before. Thought it was the bearings but after changing them it was still wobbling around. Then discovered it was the thickness of the spacer between the two bearings. A quick rub on some fine emery and it's all nice and smooth and play free now

Thankfully I was to hungover to even contemplate flying this weekend. (see my other post http://www.rcheliaddict.co.uk/off-to...amelessly.html) but it certainly doesn't look good out there at the moment.

I wonder if I could get the old 500 up and running in my livingroom

              The Butterfly Effect....

In chaos theory the butterfly effect is the sensitive dependence on initial conditions; where a small change at one place in a non linear system can result in large differences to a later state. The effect derives its name from the theoretical example of a hurricane's formation being contingent on whether or not a distant butterfly had flapped its wings several weeks before.

In this case the extreme winds have been brought about by the release of BeastX V3 whereby a lot have people have just upgraded and are reliant upon calm conditions to properly fine tune their FBL units, these events should ensure gale force blasts until December or the weather drops well below freezing.

You don't have this problem with the Align 3G. Once it is set up it just works.

Typically it's lovely and sunny out now. But still far too windy. Can't believe it, have a day off to fly and then get none done...

Same here. I have 2 more to fit. One to one of my 600E's with a 550/600 Align head. Need another head. I had 3 more, but sold one to my son for his 600 Nitro.

                          Butterfly Effect.

There's been more wind created by the arrival of the mCPX than any butterfly ever.
                          Trex 450 SEV2.
Trex 450 SEV2, hack, freeby, but getting expensive. Binned the bu**er !

mCPX, better than a Phoenix anyday.
                          Several planks, gathering dust.

Brains and thumbs work okay, but not at the same time.

Erm, i beg to differ, over the last week we have set up and tested (exept for today!!)six beast X V3 not just my own, others in my club aswell with absolutly no problems, we are what i would call mainly sport pilots who on the odd occasion sprout semi hard 3D horns!
                            cheers cuppa.
