trevor the question is could you still fly a heli with this level of equipement in it
or are you too out of practice by flying modern upto date helis and electronics

is there any idea on the time scale for the new web site?

I had a proper nostalgia trip flying simon browns retro Kalt Cyclone with all old school equipment not that long ago, mechanical quest gyro and old futaba challenger radio. It was definately an eye opener, your memory of how they flew to the reality is somewhat different...I really enjoyed it though. It was really funny to watch robgt fly it after myself, he had never flown an old school model before, the modern electronics definately make things a LOT easier. But then that is also why the hobbies has progressed the way it has. It's really exciting to see the way it continues to progress year on year.

Note I avoided the question about when with the new website, but believe me you won't miss our announcement when it is about to happen

                    Cheers

Ahhh, I used to build 386 systems as a teenager for my parents PC company. Windows 3.1 and DOS. And 9.8k baud modems. No internet as such, just compuserve and IRC. Scary really, whats the next 20 years going to bring?

Well, if we are looking at old PC's the first one I used was a very old IBM machine (pre 286) that we had programmed for statistical analysis that was over 40 years ago - and it was huge!!! Not sure but I think it had a warm up time so possibly it had valves - remember them? Not just used in guitar amps, probably still used in top secret installations in event of the dreaded nuclear pulse!!!
